I have used this app for years to edit my music, and have loved it. I recently had to re-purchase this app for $99, due to an update. Since then I have had nothing but problems using this program...I am unable to complete any of my work as the program keeps freezing every time I try to make an edit.

Fast and easy: I like this one because it is not a resource hog for my old mac. I just need very basic editing features such as cutting, removing, splitting and recording.

I'll stick with Audacity. Can do most if not all of this and its free.

Why is this being shown as a free app? It isn't useable in any meaningful way unless you purchase it.. That to me is a PAID APP..

WavePad is a multi-platform audio editing software developed by NCH Software, available for Mac, Windows, Android, iOS and Kindle. It is designed to be a full-featured professional audio and music editor suitable for a range of users from novices to professionals. WavePad supports a wide array of audio formats including MP3, WAV, FLAC, and more, making it versatile for different audio projects. The software allows users to perform basic editing functions like cutting, copying, pasting, and more advanced operations such as noise reduction, adding effects, and spectral analysis.
WavePad is a capable audio editor for Mac that offers a good balance of features and ease of use. While the basic version is free, its functionality is limited in terms of saving projects, pushing users towards the paid versions for full use. User reviews are mixed, with some praising its ease of use and feature set, while others express frustration with the limitations of the free version and issues encountered after updates. For users needing a versatile audio editor with a wide range of features and format support, WavePad is a viable option, especially for those willing to invest in the paid versions to unlock its full potential. However, users looking for a completely free and open-source alternative with similar capabilities might consider Audacity.
