Thunderbird worked just fine, but the UI was very rough and there's no real AppleScript dictionary. If you don't mind the looks and you just want email to work, sure it's ok.

I really gave Outlook and Apple Mail a shot but in the end I found Thunderbird to be exactly what I needed and have been using it ever since... Two more selling points were customization that can be done through addons/themes/css, and the Mozilla name since I'm a user of Firefox since forever ago.

The new “Supernova” version 115 is really good. And in some respects better than Postbox. So if you're looking for a good e-mail client on the Mac, and one that's free too, don't forget to look at Thunderbird.

I have just installed mozilla thunderbird 115 version and seems to be working well especially the search function which outlook sucks at on mac. Apple Mail is good but attachment handling sucks bug time.
