I'm very happy with Airmail. Its features make it worth the price... Two complaints, however: 1. The search box used to search for emails does not allow use of phrases, just single words.

I've been using airmail for close to 10 years and it's pretty dang good except for these two things... My other gripe is the email formatting in dark mode. Paste content in from another app and you have no idea what your recipients are going to get, if the colors are legible.

Most of the emails require some action and airmails internal integrated to-do lists helps organise emails into tasks based on priority.

A beautiful smart mail app replacement for Mac Mail. This software is a great alternative to the Apple Mail application on Macs. I find that it's easy to use, has better features and works seamlessly between the Mac OS and IOS.

Better than Apple Mail but Still Falls Short. Overall: It was satisfactory while I used it. It was a step up from Apple Mail, but it eventually became unusable due to a bug that was causing it to freeze. Customer support was terrible...

Airmail is a great app full of good resources...Pros: Filter buttons make daily usage fast. It offers read confirmation, that is a great option that very few email apps offer, for me this is the best on airmail.

Detailed Review

Airmail is a popular email client for macOS and iOS known for its speed, customization options, and extensive feature set. It aims to provide a streamlined and efficient email management experience for both individual and professional users. Airmail supports a wide range of email providers, including Gmail, iCloud, Exchange, and other IMAP and POP3 accounts. It is designed to be a powerful alternative to Apple Mail, offering more advanced features and greater control over email workflows.

Standout Features

  • Customizable Interface: Airmail allows users to personalize the app's appearance and functionality with various themes, layouts, and actions.
  • Smart Inbox: Filters out newsletters and distractions to focus on important messages.
  • Unified Inbox: Consolidates multiple email accounts into a single view.
  • Snooze and Send Later: Allows users to defer emails and schedule sending for optimal times.
  • Integration with Apps and Services: Connects with productivity apps like Calendar, Reminders, Things, Todoist, Evernote, and more.
  • Privacy Mode: Processes data locally and blocks tracking pixels for enhanced privacy.
  • Advanced Search and Filters: Offers robust search capabilities, though phrase searching may be limited.
  • Custom Actions and Workflows: Enables users to create personalized email handling processes.

Conclusion

Airmail is a robust and feature-rich email client that caters to power users who need extensive customization and integration capabilities. Its speed and efficiency are frequently praised, making it a strong contender for those seeking to optimize their email workflow on macOS. However, the subscription-based pricing model might be a deterrent for some users, especially as the app was previously offered with a one-time purchase. While it offers a free trial, long-term use requires a monthly or yearly subscription. Despite some user reports of occasional bugs and customer support issues, Airmail remains a highly-regarded email client for Mac users looking for more than the basic functionalities of Apple Mail.
