Great music player with a lots of features. But since the careless programmed music app is still needed because of store and CD import, there should be a full sync possible with for instance PLAYCOUNT. Then I would give it five stars and fully switch.

Some day I've discovered Swinsian and to me it's the best music player and music manager for macOS... I've tested the quality of the sound in iTunes compared to Swinsian and mate, Swinsian is amazing. Clean, fast, play all the different music files and he respect the real bitrate.

Swinsian is the best music player on MacOS. Hands down. I am the fucking grandmaster of music apps and have tried more than 23 (~25 I believe) and nothing even comes close.

If you're a Mac user who prefers an offline music library and can't use previous versions of iTunes, software options may seem a bit sparing... Swinsian offers an interesting proposition... I have been using this since November of 2022... It's developed by one guy and still in the early stages of development (no dynamic playlists, no EQ) but I think it's great and it allowed me to completely move away from Apple Music.

Over this past weekend I found the software Swinsian, which is basically a clone of when iTunes was actually great (in my opinion)... I've been using it for a few days, and I'm loving what the developer has done in terms of making a few tweaks here and there, but also keeping things nice & simple for the most part. It's great for editing metadata, making playlists, listening, etc. If you've been frustrated with iTunes and haven't found another solution, this is it in my opinion. Highly recommended.
Swinsian is a dedicated music player for macOS, designed for users who prefer managing local music libraries over streaming services. It stands out for its robust format support, including FLAC, Ogg Vorbis, and WMA, alongside common formats like MP3 and AAC. Swinsian is engineered to handle large music libraries efficiently, offering features like folder watching for automatic import of new music, and iTunes library importing for seamless transition. The interface is customizable, offering different browsing modes like art grid and column browser, and includes practical tools like a duplicate track finder and batch tag editor with regex support for organized music management.
Swinsian is an excellent choice for Mac users who prioritize local music library management and high-fidelity playback. Its comprehensive format support, efficient performance with large libraries, and powerful organizational tools make it a strong alternative to Apple Music for dedicated music enthusiasts. While it lacks features like cloud integration and a mobile app, its focus on core music playback and management functions makes it a highly respected and appreciated application within its niche. For users seeking a fast, customizable, and feature-rich offline music player for macOS, Swinsian is a compelling option, especially for those seeking a replacement for older, more streamlined versions of iTunes.
