A bigtime fan of the Windows PotPlayer. No app actually came closer to the functionality, ease of use, and the performance of this player. Sadly, it's not supported by Mac - yet. VLC is OK but not as option-full as PotPlayer.

A longtime MPC-HC user, I switched to PotPlayer yrs ago. It's consistently been the best player I've ever used...IMO, nothing ever compares. Constantly updated. Works out of the box. Loaded with customizable features to suit your needs...

If you need a powerful and easy-to-use multimedia player, PotPlayer by CodecPack is one of the best applications that you can find. Since you can't use it on a Mac computer due to lack of compatibility, you can find a substitute in this list with alternatives.
